Encoders for Blow Mould Bottling Production

Encoders for Blow Mould Bottling Production

Blow mould production machines can produce anywhere from a few hundred bottles to upwards of 60,000 bottles per hour. A catalyst for these machines' ability to produce consistent-quality bottles is the rotating table mechanism.

The rotating table is tasked with transporting preform bottles through the process to become product-ready bottles. This process involves loading the test tube-shaped preform onto a spindle and a carousel, then heating, blowing, and ejection.

This rotating table process requires robust, accurate, and fast-responding encoders to ensure a seamless process, minimising faults and waste.

The Posital IXARC Encoder range is well-suited for this task, with stainless steel bodies resistant to heating from blow mould production. These encoders also feature IP66 to IP69 ingress protection, able to resist dust and moisture in these industrial environments.

The IXARC encoder range features absolute and incremental variations, with options catering to hollow (thru-bore & hollow bore) and solid shaft applications. The IXARC absolute encoders are incredibly fast responding, with up to 0.02 Accuracy.

The Posital IXARC encoder range features a range of communication output options for users, including high-speed networking (e.g. Profitnet, Ethernet/IP, etc), more standard fieldbus interfacing (including CANopen, J1939) and point-to-point interfacing (4-20mA, SSI, etc).

The Posital IXARC range is a top-of-the-line encoder line, delivering high-precision, high-reliability performance to ensure high-volume production stays on track with minimal errors.
