The IX700 is a flameproof (Ex "d") incremental encoder designed for use in underground mining and other hazardous gas and dust settings. Its ignition-protection design encloses all potentially ignition-capable components inside a casing certified to contain and sustain an internal explosion, preventing it from reaching the surrounding atmosphere, as opposed to depending on intrinsic safety barriers. Its broad supply voltage range and RS422-compatible push-pull output make it simple to integrate into the majority of control systems, and its all-stainless-steel construction and heavy-duty bearings make it ideal for harsh industrial environments where corrosion resistance and mechanical durability both matter.
