From POSITAL's IXARC family, the OCF-S101G-1413-C10V-AAE is a 27-bit multiturn optical absolute encoder with 13-bit singleturn and 14-bit multiturn, or 8,192 locations per revolution over 16,384 revolutions. Because multiturn tracking uses mechanical gearing, position is maintained without power and there is no need to change batteries. It is ATEX-approved for Zone 2 and 22 hazardous regions and outputs Gray-coded position over SSI with RS422 drivers. The IP66/IP67 sealing, extended temperature range, and all-stainless-steel construction make it suitable for wash-down, harsh outdoor mining, transit, and process applications. No connector is required because 10 meters of factory-fitted axial PUR cable are included.
