A 13-bit singleturn optical absolute encoder from POSITAL's IXARC line, the OCF-S101G-0013-B10S-AAE provides 8,192 points per revolution. Using RS422 drivers, it displays the position in greyscale over SSI. Preset and direction (DIR) inputs enable you zero the output at the current shaft position or reverse the counting direction. For hazardous zones 2 and 22, it has received ATEX approval. There is no need for a coupling because the ø 10 mm blind hollow shaft slips directly onto the driven shaft. In addition to saving space and allowing for minor misalignment, an auxiliary clamping ring (B15) is offered. In mining, transportation, and heavy manufacturing, the coated steel housing and IP66/IP67 sealing are suitable for dusty, moist, and corrosive environments. There is no need for a connector because it comes with 10 meters of factory-fitted axial PVC cable.
